A recent electromagnetic flowmeter upgrade project in Malaysia has been successfully completed, with VNER helping the customer quickly resolve a long-standing flow measurement issue through responsive engineering support and systematic troubleshooting.



Shortly after commissioning, the customer reported a continuous empty pipe alarm accompanied by unstable flow readings in an effluent water application. VNER's engineering team immediately initiated a structured remote support process, providing technical documentation, installation guidance, annotated drawings, video assistance and live online communication to support the customer's maintenance team throughout the investigation.

After each potential cause had been eliminated, the root cause was traced to electrode fouling and improper grounding, which introduced electrical interference affecting the empty pipe detection function.
